We sweat the prep
Paint only looks as good as what is underneath it. This is the order most of our jobs follow. Every surface is different, so some steps vary.
- 01Cleaning
Wash off dirt, chalk and mildew so paint has something clean to grab.
- 02Scrape and sand
Loose and peeling paint comes off, and rough edges get feathered smooth.
- 03Patch and repair
Holes, cracks and soft spots filled and fixed before paint hides them.
- 04Sand again
Patches and repairs sanded flush so they disappear under the finish.
- 05Spot prime and prime
Bare wood, metal and repairs sealed so the finish coats last.
- 06Masking and protection
Paper, plastic, tape and drop cloths on everything that is not getting paint.

Good questions we hear a lot
How much does it cost to paint a house?
It depends on size, the condition of the surfaces and how much prep they need. That's why every estimate starts with a walkthrough. You get a written, line-by-line quote, free.
How long does an exterior job take?
Most homes take a few days. If the siding needs washing, we do that first and let it dry before any paint goes on.
What paint do you use?
Mostly Sherwin-Williams, chosen for the surface: Duration for siding, direct-to-metal coatings for steel buildings, floor coatings, and quality stains for decks.
Do you help pick colors?
Yes. Bring your ideas or start from scratch and we'll go through options together. We can even show you mockups of your own house in a few colors.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. Proof of coverage is available on request before any work starts.
What does the warranty cover?
Our workmanship, for 2 years on painting and 1 year on deck and fence stain. If paint we applied peels or flakes because of our prep or application, we come back and fix it.
When can you start?
We're booking winter interiors now and filling the spring exterior calendar. Reach out early to get the dates you want.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes. Offices, storefronts, rental properties and facilities, inside and out, plus floor coatings and line striping. We can schedule around your hours, and a certificate of insurance and W-9 are available on request.
Do you offer power washing on its own?
Yes. If we're painting your exterior, washing is already included when it's needed. If you just want a wash, we do houses, decks, fences, driveways and commercial buildings on their own too.
Do you take small jobs?
Yes. Front doors, a single room, a shed or a deck. No job is too small to ask about.
